King Sunny Ade

From a Nigerian Royal family in Ondo, King Sunny Adé (born Sunday Adeniyi) is the most popular performer of Yoruba Nigerian Juju musicand one of Africa’ greatest artists. In 1967 he made his debut with The Green Spots. Since 1975 King Sunny Adé has been leading his 20 piece African Beats and has become known as "The Minister of Enjoyment". During his numerous worldwide tours he built up a significant audience for Nigerian music and opened the door for many Nigerian musicians to perform on the international stage.
